Global Issues Advocacy Project
I'm Brian Melendez (MRC Vice President 2023). In my global issues class, we had the opportunity to engage in an advocacy effort of our choosing. My group chose to explore the challenges faced in the Northern Triangle and U.S. foreign policy regarding that region. We explored the connection these two factors have on migration. Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week
We are Daneev Imbert (MRC President) and Katie Majka (MRC Secretary) and we worked in Campus Ministry on the Service and Justice Team as Office Assistants. November 13th-19th is Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (H&H Week). H&H Week is a national campaign designed to educate people on poverty, and homelessness. Katie and i felt that it was important to educate the CUA community on the connection between immigration and Homelessness. here is an infographic on immigration and homelessness.
